It’s been a bumpy road for the Golden State Warriors since winning the 2022 championship. They’ve struggled to construct a strong roster and a deep enough bench due to their limited spending flexibility. They’ve managed to win two playoff series since, but they’ve been far away from being a true title contender.

That changed throughout the 2024-25 season. They made the tough decision to let Klay Thompson leave in free agency, which elevated younger guards on the roster. After a slow start to the season, they got Stephen Curry’s best co-star since Kevin Durant by acquiring Jimmy Butler. They are now a little closer to having a shot at winning the West.

This roster is still flawed, but thankfully, the Warriors have the draft equity and flexibility to address their needs. They don’t need to make drastic changes as they only have a couple of voids to fill. Their offseason will revolve around Jonathan Kuminga, whose restricted free agency may be the key to them significantly upgrading the roster.
