Sacramento Kings: Four Big Decisions in the 2025 Offseason
I take a closer look at the Kings current direction, their options at point guard, Keon Ellis' contract situation, and potential extensions for Keegan Murray and Zach LaVine.
The Sacramento Kings had a miserable season that resulted in losing their star guard. To add insult to the injury, they will likely convey the 13th overall selection to the Hawks from the Kevin Huerter trade. This would be the best possible selection they could convey under the top 12 protection.
They’ve also missed the playoffs for a second season in a row. It’s starting to dawn just how far away the Kings are from contention.
Last month, I spoke with Brenden Nunes about the Kings and their upcoming offseason. I highly suggest you check it out as a companion for this piece. I want to take a deeper look at their direction, gauge the value of some of their top players, and go over extension decisions.
